In the fall of 2023 Rockefeller Center, in partnership with The Robert Indiana Legacy Initiative, engaged SRI Fine Art Services to transport and install an exhibition of works by Robert Indiana. Featuring monumental sculptures and a series of flags, the exhibition highlighted works created by Indiana throughout his distinguished career, including the long-awaited return of his iconic LOVE sculpture to New York City. LOVE (1966–1999), a 12-foot-high red and blue polychrome aluminum artwork, was installed on Center Plaza.

A second major feature of the Rockefeller Center installation was Indiana’s monumental sculpture ONE Through ZERO (The Ten Numbers) (1980–2001), which consists of ten 8-foot-tall Cor-Ten steel number sculptures. Numbers are one of the most important iconographic themes in Indiana’s work, and the artist emphasized the variety of meanings and associations that numbers can generate.

In addition to the monumental sculpture, the exhibition featured a series of flags displaying images from the artist’s peace painting series.

Over a series of September nights, LOVE and ONE Through ZERO were unpacked, assembled and installed throughout the landmark Rockefeller Center campus. Truly a labor of LOVE for SRI.
