Creating a New Art Storage Facility

By SRI Fine Art ServicesPosted on

Psst…we’ll let you in on a little secret.  There’s about to be a new addition to our family…about 17,000 square feet of climate control storage that is.

We’re very excited to announce the addition of a new East Coast warehouse to SRI’s portfolio of fine art storage facilities. While some people are dreaming of sugar plums this holiday season, our heads are full of new climate control units, contractors, and museum-grade security systems.  (Our COO actually has another  closed-captioned TV system on her list for Santa this year.)

Our new art warehouse is situated in Clifton, NJ–not too far from our New Jersey headquarters and a stone’s throw to New York City. We get the keys on March 1, 2018 and can’t wait to turn a run-of-the-mill warehouse into a state-of-the-art storage facility for fine art that’s fully functional by summer 2018.

The new space boasts 20-foot high ceilings, two trailer-sized indoor loading docks (which  means we can transport artwork to and from storage regardless of the day’s weather forecast), and a totally customizable floor plan. This allows us to create storage space that fits a client’s specific needs, whether it’s space for several pieces or a private room for an entire collection.

Just like our other fine art facilities, our new location will also offer a private viewing room,  state-of-the-art security system, and our expert art handling staff.  We’ll also be installing our proprietary inventory management system, which tracks every piece of art that comes through our doors.

We feel lucky to embark on this new space to help our company grow, and will be chronicling the journey on our blog so you can join us for the ride!

The new space also provides a chance for us to offer discounted rates for new anchor clients. To learn more about how we can help with your fine art logistics, contact Allen Hansen at ahansen@srifas.com.
